Jim Lietz was raised by a single mom who worked as a waitress, steelworker and hospital security director to provide a loving home and future opportunity for her son. Jim eventually followed in his grandfather’s footsteps, becoming a police officer. After more than 30 years of serving our community, Jim retired from the Hammond Police Department. He and his wife Carrie also owned and operated a restaurant for 12 years.
